Forensics are currently on the scene in Reading with 'blood stains' being spotted along the street.
In the morning of Tuesday, December 26 (Boxing Day), the emergency services were seen on Dulnan Close in Tilehurst where they had cordoned a large part of the street.
Images from the area show the emergency services along with the forensics inspecting a property, but details of what has happened have not yet been made public.
Someone who is based near the scene of the crime told the Chronicle: "I got a call from a relative telling me that something serious has happened.
"This area is quite notorious as there have been other incidents in recent years, but when I saw the forensics and police, there was a lot of blood.
"It was all over the path.
"Whoever this person is, they have lost a lot of blood as it was all over the place."
It is not the first time that a serious incident has taken place along Dulnan Close in Reading, as the road made national news in February 2021.
This was after 26-year-old Raheem Hanif was stabbed to death.
In all, four people aged between 17 and 24 were jailed for his murder.
