A main Reading road remains closed following major flooding in the Southcote area.
Thames Valley Police released a warning on Friday, December 8 stating that Coley Avenue, Berkley Avenue, A4 Bath Road, and Southcote Lane were closed off due to a burst water main.
The flooding that occurred on A4 Berkeley Avenue affected the road both ways between A4155 Bath Road and Coley Avenue.
After a weekend of repairs conducted by Thames Water, the road is still closed from Berkeley Avenue to Castle Hill.
The water company is working alongside Reading Borough Council to fix issues on the line.
AA Live said: “Road closed due to emergency water main repairs on A4155 Bath Road both ways between Valerie Court and Coley Avenue. Since Friday morning.”
According to one. network, the roadworks are happening at Valerie Court which is also closed.
These works are expected to be finished on December 12 at 23:59.
Reading Borough Council said: "From today SGN are investigating and addressing a gas escape on Bath Road near Burrcroft Road.
"There is no closure for this but two-way signals are in place between Burrcroft Road and Honey End Lane which SGN have been instructed to manually operate from 7am to 7pm."
