A group of anti-war protestors took to the streets of Reading this weekend (3/12).

This comes as members of the Reading Caribbean Community have been calling for an urgent ceasefire in Gaza and Israel.

Despite the freezing temperatures, dozens of residents donned their Palestine colours for a protest in the town centre to show their solidarity for ‘PEACE IN PALESTINE’.

Videos of the march show the crowd gathered on Broad Street – many holding a variety of placards, signs, and Palestine flags.

One sign said: “Stop the killing of innocent children and civilians. We stand for humanity.”

A Reading ride for Palestine also took place today (3/12) at 12:30pm for women and children.

The group left from Palmers Park, where they did a loop of Reading’s main roads and met the main march in the town centre at 1.45.

Men, women and children of all ages took part in the march in the town centre.
