Commuters are being warned of train delays this afternoon after overhead electrical wires have been damaged.
Train services between London Paddington and Newbury, via Reading, Slough and Maidenhead are reported to be affected.
Great Western Railway reported the incident at 2:30pm on Tuesday, November 7.
They said: "Due to damage to the overhead electric wires, some lines are blocked.
"Train services between London Paddington and Newbury via Reading may be cancelled or delayed. "
"Disruption is expected until the end of the day."
During the disruption, tickets are being accepted on:
- Chiltern Railways between Oxford and Marylebone
- South Western Railway between Reading and Waterloo
- London Underground services to take you to Marylebone and Waterloo
- Reading buses jetBlack (Route 1) between Reading and Newbury
Commuters are being urged to check their journey before they travel
