A Reading family has shared the moment they spotted a double rainbow above the town - snapping pictures from three different perspectives.

Ritesh Nigam told of the "uplifting" moment his family all spotted the rainbow on the evening of Friday, November 3.

He said: "As the sun set and a rare double rainbow appeared, a simple moment turned into one we'll always remember.

"I was right there at the front of the house, couldn't believe my luck, and snapped a photo to share with the family.

"But I wasn't the only one. My son, Ojas, just getting off the school bus, caught the same magical rainbow and had the same idea - he couldn't wait to show me his picture.

"And my daughter, Tia, up in her room, saw the colourful arch outside her window and captured it too, from her own little world."

The three perspectives of the rainbow above Reading made the families day - as Ritesh added that the images are connected by the same feeling of "awe and joy".

"Sometimes, life gives you not just one blessing but two or three - and it's special to see them through different eyes," he added.

"Here's to those unexpected moments of colour that brighten up regular days."
