A long-running postage business in Reading is set to be converted into a new shop.
The Pack & Send post business has been in place at 91-93 Kings Road for years.
It specialises in the worldwide dispatch of precious items such as computers, laptops, awkward-to-deliver items, arts, antiques and other valuables.
However, the business moved its Reading operations to 43-45 Milford Road, an industrial area near the town centre, in 2021.
A sign on the door states Pack & Send have 'packed & moved' themselves to the new location.
The move has cleared the way for its former centre in Kings Road to be converted into an off licence.
Jiyana Food & Wine has applied for a licence to sell alcohol from 7am to 11pm each day, in preparation to take the shop over.
This licensing application has been submitted to Reading Borough Council, with the closing date for any representations being Thursday, November 9.
If anyone objects to the application, a council licensing meeting will be triggered to determine whether it should be approved.
It is understood the Jiyana Food & Wine business also runs the M&M Food & Wine store at 55-57 Wokingham Road.
M&M Food & Wine serves as an off licence, and sells speciality Romanian, Polish, Slovakian, English and Asian food.
