Police have provided more details after a person was hit by a train.
At 8:30am on Thursday, September 21, emergency services were called to train tracks near Reading Train Station after reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Great Western Railway stopped trains running on the line between Reading and London Paddington for the majority of the morning and into the afternoon.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to the line near Reading railway station at around 8.30am today (21 September) to reports of a casualty on the track. Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
Police have now confirmed the body was a man in his 20s.
