Update: The road is now back open and the accident has been cleared.
A ROAD has been closed to allow emergency services deal with an incident.
Earlier this morning there was a road traffic collision on the B3349 in Spencers Wood by Hyde End Road.
The road has been shut both ways from Beech Hill to Basingstoke Road.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
Traffic sites are reporting queuing traffic.
A spokesman for Reading Buses warned the public tht services will not be stopping in the area for the time being.
They said: "Due to an RTC in Spencers Wood we cannot serve any stops between Hyde End Rd and The Mill bus stops. Buses to Swallowfield will divert via A33 and Riseley. Sorry for any inconvenience."
