A popular department store in Reading town centre has announced its closure date.
House of Fraser has occupied its space in The Oracle since it opened in 1999.
Plans submitted in July outlined that the owners of the shopping centre wished to reduce the department store space in The Oracle in order to divide it up for different retailers to use.
The configured space is expected to be occupied by different shops, cafes or restaurants.
Following the closure of NEXT Home and Beauty, a sign has been spotted in the window at House of Fraser in The Oracle stating that it would be closing in October 2023.
The Chronicle has contacted House of Fraser for a comment on the closure.
