Reading Festival has been praised for being the "best festival in the entire world" by an act performing on the main stage.

Rock band Don Broco were performing on the Main Stage West during their set that lasted from 3:35pm to 4:10pm when lead vocalist Rob Damiani opened up about their love for the festival.

Rob said: "We are a band called Don Broco and we are just from up the road in a town called Bedford.

"We love Reading Festival, this is our festival.

"We have been coming to this place pretty much every single year since we did our GCSEs without fail."

Rob went on to add that before the band formed in 2008 in Bedford, they had volunteered at Reading Festival.

"We volunteered one year for Oxfam where we cleaned up all the tents after everyone goes and then we snuck up to the main stage on the Monday when no one was here," Rob said.

"We looked at each other and that's when we said 'we want to play this stage one day - we are going to start a band'. That's what happened.

"Fast forward a couple of years and we are here and Reading is still the best festival in the entire world."
