This weekend some 100,000 people will descend on Reading for one of the biggest music festivals in the UK.

But as any seasoned festivalgoer will know, finding the stages - and your pals - is not without its challenges.

If you haven't heard of What3words before, you are in for a treat.

What3words is a mobile app that gives a string of three words to help locate specific locations, making it super easy to find specific locations and meeting points.

It divides the entire world into three by three-metre squares, with the three words identifying each square. Festival bosses are recommending that upon arrival, revellers make note the location of their car using what3words.

Similarly, campers can also make a note of the location of their tent using the app and choose a meeting place with friends using the app too.

So how do you use What3words to find the main stage?

Simply use the app and type in the above three words to find your desired stage or location.

As with anything, it is good to have a back-up. Festival organisers advise making a mental note of key locations too - as well as deciding a meeting point for your party - in case your phone runs out of battery.

There will also be plenty of volunteers on-hand to help ask for directions.
