Festivalgoers are being warned that there will be no trains from Reading train station tonight.
Rail Strikes are set to bring the train network to a halt from 7pm on Saturday, August 26.
South Western Railway (SWR) has advised that RMT strike action on Saturday will “significantly reduce” services as a “large” number of networks are affected.
Trains will run from 7am to 7pm and short notice cancellations are possible.
Chief operating officer at South Western Railway, Stuart Meek, said: “We’re sorry that customers will once again face disruption due to strike action by the RMT union.
“Once again, I must ask our customers to only travel if absolutely necessary on Saturday 26 August. If you do have to travel, please check your entire journey as these strikes also affect other train operators.”
Reading Festival have said: "Those attending Reading Festival on Saturday should not travel to the event by train if possible.
"Reading Station will be closed from 7pm on Saturday night and will not reopen until just prior to start of service on Sunday morning.
"Please make alternative arrangements for travel if possible."
Alternative methods of transport are available to Reading Festival goers including bookable coach transport with Big Green Coach and shuttle boast and buses.
