The following cases were heard at Reading or Slough Magistrates’ Courts.

March 19 to 25

VIQAS AHMED, 40, of Benson Close, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault in January 10 this year. He was given a community order to complete 25 days of rehabilitation activity and 31 days of a Building Better Relationships programme. He was also made subject to a restraining order and ordered to pay £300 in court costs.

MICHELLE STEVENS, 49, of Lower Henley Road, Caversham, pleaded guilty to stealing meat products from a Co-Op store in Reading on January 19 this year. It is unknown the value of the meat products taken. She was jailed for 16 weeks due to her previous convictions and non-compliance with probation. There was no order for costs.

LEON GANNON, 34, of Haversham Drive, Bracknell Forest, pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified on February 16 last year. He was given a community order to complete 30 days of rehabilitation activity and to complete 150 hours of unpaid work. He was also disqualified from driving for 12 months. There was court costs of £85 to be paid and a victim surcharge of £114.

BALDEEP DEV, 39, of Michael Close, Maidenhead, pleaded guilty to one count of harassment between June 29, 2022 and August 22, 2022 by sending numerous emails and calls. He was made subject to a restraining order and ordered to complete 30 days of rehabilitation activity and 30 days of a Building Better Relationships programme. There was also court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £114.

GREGORY WATKINS-TURLEY, 46, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to using threatening/abusive/insulting words on March 18 this year with intent to cause another person harassment, alarm or distress. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay court costs of £85.

MARTIN JUDD, 36, of Kentwood Hill, Tilehurst, indicated guilty to stealing a pedal cycle from Wokingham. He was jailed for 20 weeks, suspended for 24 months. He was also ordered to complete 20 days of rehabilitation activity and pay £40 in compensation. There no order for costs.

KAYLA GUMBS, 21, of Elgar Road, Reading, indicated guilty to damaging a front window belonging to Purple Turtle nightclub in Reading on March 3 this year to the value of £794.16. She was given a community order to complete 30 days of rehabilitation activity and to abstain from alcohol for 90 days. She was also ordered to pay £794.16 in compensation.

DANIEL PETREA, 52, of Nine Mile Ride, Wokingham, pleaded guilty to drink driving on March 3 this year in Wokingham with namely 86 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. She was disqualified from driving for 22 months and fined £300. She was also ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a victim surcharge of £120.

WALDEMAR SIEMINSKI, 47, of Elgar Road South, Reading, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a Class B drug in Reading on March 29 last year. He was fined £80 and an order was made for the drugs to be forfeited and destroyed. There were also court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £34.
