From a teacher being banned for life after sending nude photographs to former pupils to a high-risk offender being on the run from prison, here is a round-up of some of the crime stories across Berkshire this week.

A ‘HIGH-risk offender’ is wanted in connection to a criminal damage incident while on the run from prison.

Brendan Woof, aged 40, is wanted on recall to prison for breaching his licence conditions on June 9.

He is also wanted in relation to an incident of criminal damage at an address in Azalea Close, Winnersh, on August 8.

All of the windows on the ground floor of the address were smashed and the front door was significantly damaged. An offender also make threats to kill a man at the address.

A JAIL sentence has been handed to a burglar who stole sentimental items from a woman in Hungerford.

After pleading guilty to one count of burglary, Ryan Solly, 43, was jailed after his hearing at Reading Crown Court on Monday (August 21).

The incident happened at a ground-floor flat in Wessex Close on May 12 this year when Solly and, allegedly one other, smashed through the glass patio door in the middle of the day.

A safe with sentimental items was stolen and most of the items have never been recovered.

A MAN has been jailed for over four years after being sentenced for drug supply offences.

At Reading Crown Court on Friday (August 17), Armando Kaci, 24, of Regent Street, Reading was sentenced to four years and six months’ imprisonment.

He previously pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and being concerned in the supply of class B drugs.

Other offences included possession of an offensive weapon in a private place, possession with the intent to supply cannabis and acquiring/using/possessing criminal property.

A READING school teacher has been banned from teaching indefinitely after sharing inappropriate images and messages with former students.

James McGiveron, who was a geography and P.E teacher at Denefield School, has been banned by the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) after a professional conduct panel in July.

The virtual panel found that the teacher had sent inappropriate messages and images on social media to former students which were of an ‘explicit sexual nature’ and were ‘sexually motivated’.

He had been messaging former students on Snapchat after adding them on Facebook and encouraged them to send him nude photographs.

As a result, the TRA has prohibited him from teaching indefinity due to the ‘seriousness’ of the allegations found proved against him.
