A SPECIAL care baby unit at the Royal Berkshire Hospital received a cheque for £1000 after a successful fundraising day.
Rally on the Common, held at Abbey Rugby Club on June 16-18, raised £1000 for BIBS (Babies in Buscot Support), a charity that supports babies and their families in the Buscot Ward.
Woodley resident Warren White was joined by a parade of scooters to hand the cheque over at an event on Thursday, August 17.
Money raised for BIBS goes towards supporting babies and families in the Royal Berkshire Hospital's neonatal unit, as well as refurbishing the wards, presents for the babies and postnatal support practitioners.
Rally on the Common is an annual event with a classic scooter show, sports day events, live bands, fancy dress and a raffle.
Commenting on social media, residents were quick to praise the fundraiser as one person said it was an “absolutely great night”.
Rally on the Common is planning its 2024 event for June 21-23.
