POLICE have been given extra time to question two teenagers who have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Caversham.

Hemdean Road was closed on Wednesday (August 9) after an incident at about 12.50am leading to a young boy being hospitalised with two stab wounds.

Thames Valley Police have confirmed that the two teenage boys from Reading, both aged 16, remain in custody while the victim is still in hospital.

A spokesperson for the force confirmed that the boys were initially held further on a superintendent’s extension before officers got a warrant of further detention on Thursday (August 10).
