A brand-new Korean Street Food restaurant has opened its doors to the public in Reading town centre.
On Tuesday, August 9, the team at ‘The Bap’ takeaway restaurant welcomed customers to the new eatery located on their premises on Market Place.
After launching two other stores in Swindon and Farnborough, the perfect location was found to introduce their own brand of authentic Korean cuisine to the people of Reading.
The Chronicle visited the restaurant on the opening morning to meet the team behind the exciting new restaurant.
Owner, DJ Kim said: “We have wanted to open in Reading since I opened four years ago but I just couldn’t find the perfect location, so it is really exciting that we are finally here.
“We are different from a lot of other Korean restaurants because, rather than having to sit down for a meal, you can pick up something in a couple of minutes. We are Korean fast food.
“Everything is made fresh in our open kitchen, and we offer specialty sauces in every level of spice.”
DJ, who was originally born in South Korea has said that all the dishes on the menu are inspired by recipes that were learned from his mother whilst growing up.
