TWO further arrests have been made after a stabbing in St Mary’s Butts on Saturday morning (July 29).

At around 3.40am on Saturday, July 29, officers found a victim near to the junction of St Mary’s Butts and Oxford Road. A man was found with several injuries including a stab wound to his shoulder and a wound to his head.

He was taken to hospital but was later discharged.

Further investigation into this incident suggests that a robbery has taken place, which has then resulted in a fight between three men.

A 32-year-old man from Ealing, was arrested at the time in connection with this incident, he has been bailed.

Two other men, a 21-year-old and a 27-year-old both from Reading have also been arrested in connection with the incident. They have also been bailed while enquiries are ongoing.

Detective Constable Brandon Morley based at Reading police station, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and three arrests have been made.

“We are still appealing for the public’s help in our investigation, and we would ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident but has not yet come forward to please do so.
