A huge vacant office building in Reading could be knocked down and replaced according to a newly submitted plan.
Rose Kiln Court which occupies a prominent position on the A33, could be demolished to be replaced with new commercial units.
Elsewhere, a popular beer company has put forward advertising plan, and separately minor plans put forward for highlighting notices linking the community and the University of Reading.

Replacement of old Thames Water offices (230826)
Rose Kiln Court, which used to serve as offices for Thames Water could be demolished and replaced with three commercial buildings.
One of these buildings would be for one occupant, with the other two being split into four and three separate commercial units respectively.
Thames Water vacated Rose Kiln Court by October 2020.

The building was the subject of two plans (refs 211138 and 211148) to convert it into flats which were considered permitted development, however it is understood that neither of these have been carried forward.
Additional advertising accompanying street art (230815)
Here, the applicant Global Street Art has applied to add advertising to an existing mural in Friar Street on behalf of Estrella Galicia lager.
The plan involves putting the lager branding underneath the ‘Las-Estrellas Del-Camino’ lettering and a 500x500m QR code to the bottom right of the wall.
The art is part of a global project established street art at stops for the ‘Camino de Santiago’ Christian pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, which St James Church in The Forbury is a part of.
The project is being driven by Estrella Galicia and the Galicia regional government.
Info board to highlight links between university and community (230816)
A plan has been submitted to install an information board showing the links between the University of Reading and the community in the Christchurch Green area.
The information board would be located at the busy junction of Shinfield Road and Elmhurst Road in East Reading.
Plans state the board would be established as part of an initiative to encourage the closer engagement of the students of the university with the local community.
Extensions for Emmer Green home (230806)
The occupant of a house in Tower Close, Emmer Green has applied to build a two storey rear extension and a single storey side extension to their home.
At ground level, the extension would provide a storage area and wet room to the side and enlarged dining and living space to the rear.
Upstairs, the occupants would benefit from enlarged bedrooms, with three bedrooms have ensuite toilets and showers.
