A newly refurbished Reading pub is set to re-open with a brand new owner this Summer.

The Bull Inn, located in Arborfield, was bought over two months ago by new owner Tom Jackson and has since gone through a complete over-turn and refurb.

Improvements include new furnishing, décor and an outdoor area featuring a pizza kitchen, an entertainment area, an outdoor bar, and table tennis table for some family fun.

Rob Dunne, the new manager of the Bull pub said that their aim was to create a mix of the old and the new.

“We wanted to keep a historic and traditional theme throughout the pub and maintain the old school feel but also give it a modern twist with different new features,” he said.

“We want to be somewhere that people of all ages want to come to. If you want to bring the kids down for a meal and a game of table tennis or if you fancy a date night we want customers to be comfortable.”

The new outdoor space has been designed from idea to execution by the new team which includes Tom and Rob.

After only two months, the pub will be ready to open on Tuesday, July 4 for members of the public.

He explained: “We are really excited to open. As well as live entertainment every Saturday night with local bands we are also organising a comedy night for local comedic talent.

“Our goal is to create a family centric atmosphere and the outdoor space goes a long way to achieving this.

“The new outdoor kitchen and pizza oven will mean people will be able to enjoy fresh homemade pizza.”
