An overturned tanker is causing delays as emergency services work to clear the vehicle.

At 4pm today (June 17), Thames Valley Police responded to reports of an overturned tanker on the A4 roundabout over the A34.

Upon arrival they found that the tanker had leaked up to 14,000 litres of raw sewage onto the road.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: "The A4 is currently closed eastbound at Speen and the A34 sliproad northbound at the Speen/Hungerford off slip is closed and will be for a considerable length of time while recovery takes place.

"We apologise for any inconvenience."

The police have confirmed that nobody was hurt in the incident.
