CUSTOMERS at a Tilehurst pub risk fines as it installs 24-hour cameras after "endless problems" with parking.

The Plough pub in Tilehurst will be installing ANPR cameras to track registration plates going in and out of its car park.

Customers will need to log their car registration number with the pub, otherwise they will face a fine.

In a statement on Facebook, The Plough Tilehurst said: "This is long over due but in the next week or so ANPR cameras will be installed in the plough carpark."

The pub said the cameras are necessary after "endless problems with cars parked that are not customers".

This has meant that the Plough customers have struggled to park.

Once installed, fines are dealt with through the parking company and not the pub.

Customers are being made aware they operate 24 hours and "will need to log your car registration when you come in for a drink."

"I will endeavor to keep reminding you as the time gets nearer", the Plough's Facebook post added.
