A PRISONER is facing trial for allegedly raping a woman in Reading.
Ryan Sears, of HMP Bullingford, in currently on trial at Reading Crown Court charged with one count of rape.
The incident allegedly happened on March 11, 2020. The 45-year-old has denied the allegations.

In court, the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said she didn’t know Sears beforehand and isn’t sure if she would recognise him now.
In a recorded video with police, she said: “I can remember his voice. It was quite, like, smooth.”
The trial of Sears, who appeared in the dock wearing a colourful spots top, continues.
