The driver of an Audi e-tron was caught by police for having no insurance after collecting it from the dealership.
TVP Road Policing team reported on Facebook that they spotted the vehicle in Reading and soon discovered that the car’s insurance had expired at midnight.
As a consequence, for their error, the driver was given a TOR for minor driving offences and six points on his licence.
The TVP Road Policing posted on their social media: “This dubiously coloured black and orange 21 plate Audi e-tron was stopped due to it showing as having no insurance. Turns out the driver had cover from the dealership he bought the car from until midnight yesterday.
“He has taken out cover for the car but has been given a TOR for his troubles and can expect 6 points on his licence. He was also given words of advice about his driving.”
