A Love Island TV personality was spotted today crossing the finish line at the 41st annual Reading Half Marathon.

Lucinda Strafford, known for her time as an islander in season seven of the revised series, decided to compete in the race to raise money for the mental health charity Mind.

With many TV personalities suffering from poor mental health following their time on screen, the bubbly ex-islander said that it is a charity that is close to her heart.

In an interview with the Reading Chronicle, the 23-year-old said: “I’ve finished the half marathon and we’re absolutely exhausted but I managed to do it in three hours. Not too shabby.

“I’m doing it for Mind which is a mental health charity that is very important to me. Coming out of Love Island there was a lot of stigma and quite a few online trolls.

“Obviously we’ve lost some amazing TV personalities, so I think it’s a great and a really worthwhile charity.”

Running alongside her friend, Em Davidson, Lucinda said that they had no training before the race today, which started at 10:15am in Green Park.

The two girls were among 7,500 runners to take to the half marathon across Reading.
