A popular family-run Italian restaurant is expanding its business by opening an Italian-style deli just across the road in Pangbourne.

Nino's Trattoria Italiana has been open in Pangbourne since 2013, with the family previously owning 10 restaurants in Reading and across England.

Nino’s was run by Nino Bartolomei before he sadly passed away in 2018. His son, Nino Junior, is carrying on his father’s legacy in leading the team at the restaurant and now opening a new Italian deli nearby, this summer.

A statement on Nino’s Trattoria social media said: “We have big news! We’re excited to announce the opening of our new permanent shop where our customers can find our beautiful Italian goods – Nino’s Italian Deli.

“As well as selling all the wonderful Italian provisions you’ve seen a glimpse of, (so much more to come!) the shop will also give us the space and capacity to continue developing our online platform – where we hope to make our hampers available all year round, & with nationwide delivery options so we can spread Nino’s further. (More updates on this to come).

“I’m feeling so excited, scared, emotional, and everything in between!! Opening May/June 2023”.

The post recieved many comments of support and excitement at the new family's newest business venture.

Nino's name has been popular in Reading since 1980 when the first Berkshire restaurant opened - Nino's Market Place.
