A 34-year-old drug dealer has been jailed after police found £12,900 of drugs during a raid of a property in Reading.

George Dallarda, 34, of Katesgrove Lane was sentenced in Reading Crown Court on Monday, March 13 following a previous hearing where he pleaded guilty to one count each of possession with intent to supply a class A drug and possession with intent to supply a class B drug.

Dallarda was stopped by police on January 11 whilst driving along Katesgrove Road. Officer discovered a bag containing cocaine concealed in his sock as well as a large quantity of cash in his wallet.

After he was detained, Thames Valley Police raided a property in Granby Gardens and found a large holdall containing a large amount of cannabis with a street value of £12,900.

Dallarda was arrested the same day and charged on 12 January where he was also found to have breached a suspended sentence.

He has been sentenced to four years and eight months in jail.
