A mum-of-three has received an out-pouring of support after being diagnosed with inoperable stage four stomach cancer.

After a year of worsening symptoms which first started in late 2021 and many mis-diagnosis Shona-Louise Johnson received the heart-breaking news that she may only have months to live.

Friends and family have set up a fundraising page to make sure the young family are able to make the most amazing memories while she still can.

This is in addition to the group ‘Shonda’s Angels which devastated loved ones have created to raise money for Stomach and Gastric cancer.

Friends and family who created the Go Fund Me page said: “Shona is a caring, loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend to many.

“As you can imagine in the current financial circumstances, life insurance hasn’t been a financial priority at her young age, the young couple recently got married, they have 3 children; an 8 year daughter, a 5 nearly 6 year old son with autism, and a 3 year old daughter, who she wants to make the most amazing memories with while she can.”

“This is why we are setting up this fundraising page to help Shona and her young family with anything they need. We want Shona to have the opportunity do everything she deserves!

“This includes crossing everything off her bucket list which has many things like going to visit family in Eastbourne and Barbados, taking her oldest daughter Kelsey on girls day trips and many more, while also supporting the family through any treatments that come up that Shona should have the opportunity to try and any help her family may need through this financially difficult time.”

Despite having a history of cancer in the family, the 33 year-old newly wed was misdiagnosed throughout the course of 2021 and 2022 until the diagnosis was made on June 8th at 1pm.

On Monday, June 13 and days of agony she was finally told that she had stage four terminal cancer that was no longer operatable.

Due to her age, Shona is under-going chemo in order to give her as many additional months and hopefully years as possible.
