Former Huddersfield defender Naby Sarr has tipped the struggling Terriers to turn their form around in the second half of the season.

Mark Fotheringham's outfit are currently bottom of the Championship at the halfway mark, with the Royals beating them 3-1 at the SCL Stadium in October.

Sarr, who played 66 times for the Yorkshire side from 2020 until 2022, was a part of last seasons promotion charge, featuring 25 times.

Now in Berkshire, starting just three times all year due to his long-term injury, the centre-back is fit and firing for Paul Ince's men.

Quizzed on his former side, Sarr admitted his does not know why they are struggling so much, but thinks they have enough to come back strong after Christmas.

"There are still a lot of good players there, but a know a few left. Sometimes it happens, last season it happened to Barnsley, when they got to the play-offs and then strugglers the season after.

"I don’t really know what’s going on in the inside and they’re having a difficult time but there’s a whole second half of the season to go. Nothing is done already so they still have a good chance to stay up."
