Reading scorer Tom Ince was put in the Championship Team of the Week for his performance against Birmingham City, despite the Royals coming away 3-2 losers.

Falling behind inside 90 seconds, they were trailing 3-0 at half-time thanks to costly errors punished by Troy Deeney and Tahith Chong.

Rallying in the second half, Lucas Joao pulled one back with 10 minutes remaining while Ince added a second in stoppage time at the end of the match.

Cutting in from the right, the midfielder bent an effort into the far corner past John Ruddy.

It marked his fifth goal of the season, making him the club's outright top scorer for the campaign with five.

Deeney himself, marking his 600th career appearance with a brace, leads the line for the Team of the Week.

Reading Chronicle:

Pairs from QPR and Watford join, as well as individuals from Blackburn, Watford and Coventry.

This is the second week in a row that a Reading representative is in the team, with Amadou Mbengue included after his goal in the win over Coventry last week.
