Former Reading boss Jose Gomes has returned to Maritimo for the second time in three years, his 18th club as manager.
Taking charge of the Royals in 2018 until 2019, he was popular for his personality and charm as he managed to keep the club in the Championship having taken over with the team in relegation trouble.
Taking charge of 38 matches, he had nine wins and a 24 per cent win rate.
Popular among fans, the final day of the 2018/19 campaign was dubbed 'Portugal Day' in his honour.

He has had five jobs in the three years since leaving Reading, in Spain, Portugal and Saudi Arabia.
Maritimo are currently second from bottom in the Primeira Liga, ahead of only Pacos Ferreira- another of his former clubs.
Still only 52, he is predominantly a manager brought in to struggling sides, having only ever won the Saudi Super Cup in 2016.
