Reading boss Paul Ince has hinted at a potential loan move for young midfielder Dejan Tetek.

The Serbian is currently working his way back from injury and is yet to feature for the Royals this season.

A semi-regular performer under former manager Veljko Paunovic, the 20-year-old has 21 appearances to his name for the first team.

Speaking on his route back from injury, Ince was full of praise for the Serbia Under-21 international.

"[Dejan] Tetek is another week away. You’ve got to feel for the boy, he gets fit and then he gets injured. They’re not short-term injuries he is getting, they’re long term. It’s sad because he’s a wonderful kid. You just want to see him on the pitch. I’ve not seen enough of him. He’s one we need to get fit and maybe get him some games out on loan."

There are four first team playres currently out on loan, with Luke Southwood and Jeriel Dorsett, fellow Academy graduates, playing regularly for Cheltenham Town and Kilmarnock respectively.

The January transfer window is three weeks from opening, with the club unable to bring in any more players unless others move out of the squad.

There were rumours in the summer that the midfielder was a target for League Two Crawley Town.
