The following cases were heard at Reading or Slough Magistrates’ Courts

November 14

ZANIB KHAN, 24, of Chestnut Crescent, Shinfield, admitted driving a Vauxhall Astra in Berkley Avenue, Reading, while disqualified and without insurance on March 31, 2022. Sentenced to eight weeks in prison suspended for 12 months. Disqualified from driving for 12 months. Must pay costs of £85.


GIORGI CHITIDZE, 30, of Crescent Road, Reading, admitted failing to provide a specimen of blood for a laboratory test in the course of an investigation into whether they had committed an offence and when suspected of driving a vehicle on July 31, 2021. Fined £266. Driving licence endorsed with 10 points. Must pay £200 costs and a £34 victim surcharge.

November 15

STEVEN ARGRAVE, 46, of Park Drive, Ascot, Windsor and Maidenhead, admitted assaulting two people in Ascot on March 20, 2022. Ordered to pay £100 in compensation and to undertake 60 hours unpaid work. Must attend rehabilitation appointments for up to a maximum of 20 days. Must pay £85 in costs and a £90 surcharge.


JAKE WAINWRIGHT, 31, of Mitchell Gardens, Basingstoke, admitted driving a Vauxhall Corsa in A33 Swallowfield bypass with cannabis found his his system, on June 4, 2022. Fined £400. Disqualified from driving for 12 months. Must pay £85 in costs and a £40 surcharge. 


TARA RAI, 38, of Lawrence Road, Tilehurst, Reading, admitted drink-driving and driving dangerously on the A33 in Reading on June 29, 2022. Rai drove a Toyota Auris after consuming enough alcohol to produce 87 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the legal limit of 35mcg. Sentenced to eight weeks in prison suspended for 12 months. Disqualified from driving for 22 months. Must undertake 200 hours unpaid work and attend rehabilitation appointments for up to a maximum of 15 days. Must pay £85 in costs and a £154 surcharge.


AARON WESTALL, 33, of The Crescent, Inkpen Road, Kintbury, Hungerford, admitted driving a Seat Ibiza in Fir Tree Lane, Newbury, on August 11, 2022, after consuming enough alcohol to produce 63 micrograms in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the legal limit of 35mcg. Fined £60. Disqualified for 18 months. Must pay £85 in costs and a £25 surcharge.
