Reading will play Championship rivals Watford at home in the third round of the FA Cup.
Conducted on November 28, the two ex-Premier League teams were some of the last to be pulled out of the hat, with the fixture due to take place between January 6 and January 9 next year.
In what will be the 121st meeting between the two sides, it will only be the sixth occasion that they will face one another in the world’s oldest football competition.
