A workshop is being held to help the people of Reading ‘smell again’ after suffering from coronavirus.

A well-known symptom of coronavirus is the loss of smell, which can linger long after recovery.

That’s why the charity AbScent is holding a workshop in Reading to assist people in being able to smell properly again.

The event was organised with the assistance of the Shanly Foundation, which supporting good causes in Berkshire and the Home Counties.

Chrissi Kelly, Founder, AbScent, said: “We are very proud to be bringing smell training to Reading and are so grateful to the Shanly Foundation for their generous support.

“Our work with researchers and scientists around the world to better understand the function of the olfactory sense is crucial for the future.

“But it is the work that we do with people who are suffering with little support and understanding that really encapsulates our values. We know that people struggle to get help.

“We are delighted to be able to help people and thanks so much to Shanly Foundation for making this happen.”
