Reading make the short trip to Vicarage Road looking to end a run of three matches without a win against play-off chasing Watford.

A sell-out crowd of over 2,000 are heading around the M25 with the team to hopefully witness a first win on the ground since 2014.

Here's everything you need to know.

Reading Chronicle:

Form

After an excellent start, results are beginning to dip for Paul Ince and his team as they go into the clash with the Hornets off the back of two defeats in three.

With only two wins on the road this season, the last one coming in September, the final week before the World Cup break could be tough with trips to Hertfordshire and Hull.

Losing 2-1 to Preston on Friday, the team dropped into 12th and sit five points outside the top six and six points clear of the relegation zone.

The hosts lost on Saturday against Coventry City, their first defeat in four, and dropped out of the play-offs into seventh.

Already on their second manager, nothing short of challenging for promotion will be acceptable for Slaven Bilic and the Pozzo family in Watford.

Team News

Reading could name an unchanged side to the one that lost to the Lilywhures, with the game expected to come too soon for Sam Hutchinson and Femi Azeez's return.

Hinting at fatigue, Ince could rotate the forward line tonight.

Last Time Out: Watford 2-0 Reading; Friday, April 9 2021

Playing behind-closed-doors just hours after the death of the Duke of Edinburgh, their was a sombre mood throughout an empty Vicarage Road.

Ismala Sarr was teh difference, hitting a quickfire double to ease to victory.

Yakou Meite and George Puscas had good chances, but neither were taken.

The Hornets would go on to achieve promotion while Veljko Paunovic's Royals' fell away to finish seventh.
