A group of men are being hunted by police after attempting to hijack a car in a Reading driveway.

On Saturday, October 29 between 1:30am and 1:55am a man in his twenties and three females pulled their car into a drive in Junction Road.

As the three men approached the vehicle and attempted to gain access, it became clear that one of the offenders had a firearm.

The victims were able to drive away from the scene. 

It is believed the incident could be linked to a robbery that happened nearby at Cemetery Junction just moments later.

Investigating officer, PC Brandon Morley, based at Reading police station, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed what happened or who has information about what happened to please come forward.”

The first offender is described as a 5ft 11ins man of slim build, wearing a green coat, grey trousers with a black stripe, white shoes and a white and black snood covering their face.

Police have also described the second offender as 5ft11ins slim man wearing all black/blue clothes, including a coat, tracksuit bottoms and shoes with black/blue cap and white snood.

The third 5ft 11ins slim man was said to be wearing a black jumper, blue coat, green bottoms and white shoes. He was also wearing a black snood,
