Reading look set to face two more new managers in the Championship this season, with Manchester United legend Michael Carrick rumoured to be close to an arrival at Middlesbrough.

The England midfielder played over 450 times for the Red Devils and looks set to make his full-time managerial debut in the North-East after Chris Wilder was sacked following a poor start.

Paul Ince's Reading beat Wilder's Boro 1-0 in September, with the Teessiders near the foot of the Championship table.

Another club the Royals have played already look set to be on the manager hunt, with Queens Park Rangers boss Michael Beale reportedly a top target for Premier League outfit Wolves.
