Flowers have been laid at he site of a crash which killed an elderly couple from Reading.

Retired headteachers Ralph and Brenda Jenkins, both 84, died following a collision with a Mercedes while walking in Tilehurst on Thursday (October 7) at 10.50am.

The driver, a man in his 80s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Photographs show damage to wall of Sheppard Court along Park Lane, where a police cordon has been erected.

Ralph was Headteacher at Birch Copse Primary School and Brenda held the same post at Cippenham Nursery School, Slough, before she set up and taught at the nursery unit at Springfield Primary School.
