Reading could have a boost ahead of their clash with Queens Park Rangers tomorrow as captain Andy Yiadom nears a return.
The Ghana star hobbled off in Saturday's win over Huddersfield Town and was not involved in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Norwich City.
Yiadom, who was voted Player of the Season last campaign and given the captaincy over the summer, was one of many who currently sit out injured.
Speaking after the draw with the Canaries, manager Paul Ince confirmed that the former Barnsley skipper is readying for his comeback.
"He might, at a push, be okay for QPR," the former England captain delcared. "If not, it will be next week against West Brom."
Other stars missing, such as Shane Long, Naby Sarr and Femi Azeez, will not feature at Loftus Road- however all are making good progress and hope to appear before the World Cup break next month.
Currently sat third in the Championship, hosts QPR sit fourth and could leapfrog the Royals with a win.
Speaking on the test, Ince added: "A tough, tough game at Loftus Road on Friday night.
"We’re in good spirits and need to keep picking up as many points as we can."
