GAIL’s bakery are set to open in Reading town centre tomorrow (October 6).
They will replace Patisserie Valerie in 134 Broad Street, with enough room for 59 people to enjoy their baked goods.
The bakery design celebrates the building's distinct character by incorporating architectural flourishes and introducing a warm and traditional colour palette in keeping with the external facade.

A spokesperson for GAIL's said: Our design makes simple additions with dark red flooring and rich stained timber furniture, alongside cream walls and light-coloured fittings to contrast the warm tones.
"Geometric shapes and tile detailing occurs throughout, referencing the decorative arrangement of the façade and adding playfulness.
"Central to the entrance area of the bakery is a long coffee bench made from recycled plastics, a contrast to the traditional palette.
"We have also collaborated with Raw Workshop to upcycle old timber into new outdoor furniture pieces to welcome you in as you enter the bakery from Broad Street."
