Loaned out striker George Puscas showcased his talents for country Romania, netting twice and being named in the Team of the Week.

Beating Bosnia and Herzegovina 4-1, the Genoa forward scored twice in the second half.

Despite the win, Romania came bottom of Group B3 and were relegated to the third tier alongside the likes of Sweden and Armenia.

26-year-old Puscas was moved out of Berkshire in the summer, helping bring defender Naby Sarr in through the door.

Yet to score for his club in Serie B, he has featured for just 13 minutes.

Despite failing to hit the ground running at club level, his brace for Romania earned himself a call-up to the Sofascore Team of the Week, alongside Ireland wing-back Robbie Brady and Manchester United's Christian Eriksen.

Signing for the Royals for a club record fee in 2019, 20 goals in 91 appearances has disappointed many supporters.

It remains to be seen if the striker has a future at the club, with his contract up in 2024.
