Junior Hoilett

A proud break for the winger, Hoilett captained Canada for the first time in the lead up to their first World Cup appearance since 1986.

Playing hosts Qatar, the Maple Leafs won 2-0 before losing 2-0 to Uruguay in the second match.

Coming on in the second half, it was the 32-year-old's 49th cap with the tournament on the horizon.

Baba Rahman

A double-cap week for the left-back, the Chelsea loanee faced Brazil and  Nicaragua.

Comfortably beaten by the South American giants, going down 3-0 to the five time World Cup winners, they bounced back to keep a clean sheet in a 1-0 win during their second fixture.

Mamadou Loum

Already a fan favourite at Reading, the on-loan midfielder failed to add to his three Senegal caps as he was an unused sub in both of his country's fixtures.

Beating Bolivia and drawing with Iran, the Lions of Teranga head into the World Cup on fine form.

A momentous week for the Newcastle United loanee, the midfielder picked up his 75th cap for Republic of Ireland in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Armenia.

The experienced Irishman was an unused sub in the Boys in Green's 2-1 defeat to Scotland on Friday.
