Reading boss Paul Ince has slammed Queens Park Rangers for charging Royals fans £36.

The Berkshire outfit have been given an inital application of 2,000 for the trip to Loftus Road, with adult tickets as high as £36 in the upper tier- the only area on sale currently.

Facing eachother less than nine months ago, prices have gone up since the 4-0 defeat in January when £34 was the cheapest available.

More than 430 took part in the Reading Chronicle poll, in which supporters were asked whether the cost of ticket is likely to put them off attending.

An astonishing 72 per cent said that it would put them off, while just 19 per cent said that it was not a factor in deciding whether to go.

This all comes a matter of months after Reading announced they were altering their 'Twenty's Plenty' stance on ticket prices at the SCL Stadium, with only a third of club's reciprocating at their ground.

Putting his view across, the former England boss did not hold back.

"We've just come out of a pandemic...and we talk about bills going up, the price of petrol, gas...people have enough worries to think about before QPR putting ticket prices up to £36, it's absolutely ridiculous," he started.

"Something should be done about it or someone would step in and if they don't, we as a club  have got to say, when they come to us, we'll put their prices up to £36 and see how they feel because it's not right.

"It's people writing their tripe off, parents, single parents, kids, and families just to make ends meet. They love Reading FC and that's their release. If they're getting priced out of it, something needs to be done."
