A suspicious lorry that was spotted yesterday morning was found to be carrying stolen railway tracks.
Thames Valley Police posted on their social media page that PC Gibson from the Rural Crime Taskforce located the truck in Newbury.
Upon further inspection this load was found to belong to and were stolen from National Rail.

TVP said on their social media: “@britishtransportpolice have also assisted and are owning the investigation.
The British Transport Police Berkshire commented on this post saying: “Our ANPR team have been hard at work tracking the vehicle. Don’t worry we have this covered.”
According to the Rural Task Force the HGV was ‘massively overweight’.
