Reading forward George Puscas has joined Serie B outfit Genoa on a season-long loan.

Joining the oldest professional club in Italy, the Romanian has been a talking point all summer.

Central defender Naby Sarr was unable to be announced as a Royal until the striker found a new club, possibly setting the wheels in motion for the 29-year-old's announcement ahead of Saturday's trip to the Den.

Speaking to the media this afternoon, boss Paul Ince said he was 'keeping his fingers crossed' that the deal was over the line before the clash with Millwall.

26-year-old Puscas scored 20 goals in 92 appearances for Reading, however he failed to feature under Ince and spent the second half of last season on loan in Italy with Pisa.

There remains just seven days of the transfer window, with the manager also after a left-back and an 'attacking player.'

Chelsea left-back, and former Reading loanee, Baba Rahman has been rumoured with a returnas has Chelsea midfielder Omari Hutchinson.
