Reading have announced that on Saturday, October 1, schools and grassroots clubs have been offered the chance of discounted tickets for the visit of Huddersfield Town.

An iniative used twice last season, and many times in years gone by, to great success- the club are hoping it will be met with the same response this time around.

More than 10,000 tickets were sold for matches against Coventry City and Cardiff City through this scheme, with adult prices for as little as £10 and those Under 12 gain entry for £1.

School and club secretaries have been sent out exclusive codes for discounted tickets in the Eamonn Dolan Stand Family Area, with no maximum number of tickets available to purchase.

Looking to pack the SCL Stadium and make it a fortress, so far Paul Ince's side have won both league games on home soil.

Last season's average crowd of just 13,193 was the lowest for a full campaign since the new Millenium.
