Former Reading trialist Massimo Luongo has been linked with a return to his native Australia to join Perth Glory.
The 29-year-old midfielder was with the Royals during the pre-season, however did not travel to St George's Park or feature in any friendly squads.
Formerly of Sheffield Wednesday and Queen's Park Rangers, the Socceroos international has been without a club since departing the Owls in the summer.
With over 150 Championship appearances under his belt, many expected to see the Sydney-born star back in the second tier following two years in League One with Wednesday.

According to Front Page Football, Luongo has been linked with the former A-League champions.
The Glory came bottom of the division last season, although there are no relegations in the A-League.
Luongo could come up against iconic former Royal Adam Le Fondre, a prominent player for Sydney FC, or QPR hero Charlie Austin who recently joined Brisbane Roar.
