A burglar stole three iPads from a Reading brewery.

CCTV footage shows a man smashing a window of Phantom Brewing Company, in Meadow Road, before sneaking through the building.

Thames Valley Police confirmed a report of burglary at 4.20am yesterday, August 20.

“Tough start to the day for us. This absolute low-life decided it would be a good idea to break in to the brewery at 4am this morning,” posted one of the brewery’s co-owners on Twitter.

"He stole hundreds of punds worth of items, including our iPads that we use as payment terminals. We’ve been out to buy replacements this morning at our own cost, and hoping we can get them up and running for todays service.

“Disheartening though it may be, we take solace in the words of Chumbawumba, we get knocked down, we get up again.
