An open fire has broken out in the woodlands at Padworth Common.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue confirmed earlier today that they received reports of a fire in the open near Welshman Road.
At 2:05pm on Thursday, August 11 crews from Mortimer and Theale had been sent to the scene.

A post on social media by Tadley Fire Station said that crews from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue and Hampshire & Isle of White fire and Rescue worked together to get the blaze under control.
The social media post said: “Initial @HantsIOW_fire & @RBFRSofficial crews worked very hard in very hot conditions to get the fire under control.
“Relief crews now in place to carry on damping down.”
